Tampa has become more than a tourist destination and is one of the fastest growing cities in Florida. The diversity is what makes it so unique and rich in culture. The neighborhoods vary from country club life, to city living and artsy eclectic areas.
Here’s a tour of some of the most popular neighborhoods in Tampa.
Carollwood Village is a legacy community in the heart of Tampa.
It is a self-contained community which means residents can dine, shop and play all within the community. It includes a championship golf course, country club, assisted living facilities and so much more. It is located 20 minutes from downtown and the Tampa airport.
Hyde Park is a neighborhood in Tampa which is well known for it’s dining and nightlife. Located near South Howard Avenue and SoHo they are home to many indie restaraunts and bars which attract a young nighttime crowd. The nearby outdoor shopping district – Hyde Park Village – offers many chain stores alongside unique independent boutiques.
Seminole Heights is an eclectic neighborhood in Tampa which is known for its Bungalows, historic buildings and artsy independent restaurants. This area has seen incredible growth within the past five years and is not slowing down. New sights include apartment buildings, Michelin star chef restaurants and the best cocktails in Tampa Bay. The residents are mostly made up by young families, artists, musicians and young professionals. Nearby you will find Lowry Park Zoo, Busch Gardens and easy access to downtown.
Tampa Heights is rich in history and is considered the first suburb of Tampa. Only a short distance from the heart of downtown, it provides many modes of transportation and ways to get around, (including a water taxi or the even the newly added Riverwalk) to experience the incredible attributes and not to mention wonderful businesses this city has to offer it’s residence and visitors.
Temple Terrace is known for its unbelievable landscape, Hillsborough River views, and beautiful trees. It is one of the first planned golf-course communities in the United States. In essence, it offers the sense of community, golf, bike trails, fun, restaurants, and creative events without the congestion you might find in other cities.
